Cookie Policy

Last updated: 15 October 2026

This policy explains how Digital Analytica Limited ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on BeatMyBroadband.com (the "site"). It should be read with our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage in your browser, and tracking pixels and tags that record that a page was visited. In this policy we call all of these "cookies".

2. How we use cookies

We use three types of cookies: essential cookies, analytics cookies and advertising cookies. Essential cookies are needed for the site to work and are always on. We only use analytics and advertising cookies if you give your permission, and we do not place or run them before you do. This follows UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations) and ICO guidance.

3. Your choices

When you first visit the site you can choose "Accept all", "Reject all" or "Choose" which types to allow. Rejecting non-essential cookies does not stop you using the site or getting your deals. You can change your mind at any time by using the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page, or the button below. If you withdraw your permission, we stop using those cookies and will remove the ones we can. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site may not work properly if you block essential cookies.

4. Essential cookies and storage

These are always on because the site cannot work without them.

5. Analytics cookies (only if you accept)

These help us understand how many people use the site, which pages they visit and where they come from, so that we can improve it. If you accept analytics cookies we may use Google Analytics, provided by Google. Google Analytics typically sets cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier, which usually last up to 2 years. The information collected is used in reports about overall use of the site. Google may process your IP address and other online identifiers.

6. Advertising cookies (only if you accept)

These help us measure whether our adverts led to an enquiry and improve how we advertise. If you accept advertising cookies we may use:

  • Google Ads, provided by Google. It typically sets cookies such as _gcl_au, which usually last up to 90 days.
  • Meta Pixel, provided by Meta (Facebook and Instagram). It typically sets cookies such as _fbp, which usually last up to 90 days.

These services can recognise that you visited the site and completed an enquiry. We do not send them your name, email address or phone number in readable form. Google and Meta may use this information for their own purposes under their own policies.

7. Third parties and international transfers

Google and Meta are responsible for how they use information collected through their cookies, and they may process it outside the UK. You can read more in Google's cookie information and Meta's cookie policy.

8. Managing cookies in your browser

Most browsers let you see, block and delete cookies. The ICO explains how at ico.org.uk/for-the-public/online/cookies. Blocking cookies in your browser can stop our consent choice being remembered.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed. If we start using a new type of cookie, we will update this policy and ask for your permission again where the law requires it.
